Test Results

Please call after 11.00am to enquire about test results. 

The surgery has a strict policy regarding data protection and patient confidentiality. Test results will only be released to the patient requesting them. Unless, the patient has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results. 

If necessary, the doctor will check your results and then arrange a telephone appointment to discuss them. It may take up to 1 week for test results to come back. 

Cervical Smears

Patients will be informed of the results in writing by the Cytology Department. 

Blood Tests

Blood test results can take up to 1 week to come back. 

If there are any abnormalities or action is required, the surgery will be in contact with you to arrange a telephone appointment with the GP, to discuss the results.

If the blood test is normal and no action is required, the surgery will not contact you. 

X-Ray Results

Blood test results can take up to 1 week to come back. Please call the surgery after 11 am and they will be able to tell you if the results have come back. If there are any issues with the X-Ray, the GP will contact you to book in for a telephone appointment to discuss the results.
